Replacement lamp for the Hitachi CP-AW2505EF. This compatible lamp replaces Hitachi part DT01511 – a complete 215W lamp in a new housing that slides straight into the lamp bay, with up to 6,000 hours of rated life. The Hitachi CP-AW2505EF is a short-throw classroom projector, usually mounted close to the screen or above a whiteboard, so it's worth keeping a spare lamp to avoid losing a lesson when the lamp fails. 120-day warranty and free shipping from our US warehouse.

This is a compatible replacement lamp module for the Hitachi CP-AW2505EF, replacing Hitachi part DT01511. The same lamp is also sold under part numbers DT01431, DT01433, DT01435, DT01481, DT01571, DT02051, 456-8527, 456-8928A, 456-8931WA, 456-8934, so it fits a wide range of Hitachi, Dukane and Maxell projectors. It's a complete unit – the bulb is already fitted in a new housing – so there's no handling the bare bulb and no rewiring. Every lamp is tested before it leaves our US warehouse.
This is our compatible version: a quality third-party bulb in a new housing, built to match the original brightness and lamp-life specification at a much lower price, with a 120-day warranty. If you'd rather have a genuine original bulb, we also sell an Original Inside version for the Hitachi CP-AW2505EF – a genuine original bulb in a new housing – which comes with a 180-day warranty.
Most projectors warn you when the lamp is near the end of its life: a lamp replacement message appears when you switch on, and the lamp indicator may light or flash. Before that, most people notice the picture getting dimmer or colors looking washed out. If the projector won't light at all, the lamp has usually failed.
Switch the projector off, unplug it and let it cool for at least 45 minutes. Remove the lamp cover, loosen the screws holding the old lamp and lift it out by the handle. Push the new lamp firmly into place, tighten the screws and refit the cover securely – most projectors won't power on if the lamp cover isn't closed properly. Finally, reset the lamp timer from the projector's menu so it stops showing the replacement warning (your user manual shows the exact steps for your model).
How do I know this is the right lamp? Check the model name on your projector, or the part number on the old lamp – if it shows DT01511, or any of the part numbers listed above, this lamp fits. If you're still not sure, contact our sales team and we'll confirm the right lamp for you.
Can schools and colleges order on a purchase order? Yes – government and education purchase orders are welcome. Email or call us and we'll set it up.
What if there's a problem? This compatible lamp has a 120-day no-quibble warranty: if there's a problem in that time, we'll replace it.
There are three types of replacement projector lamp, and we stock all three so you can choose the one that suits you best.
